Bukit Gasing Hike 15 July 2007

We had a great time last week at Bukit Gasing. Seven turned up!

Everyone was very sporting. We cleared the path in about an hour. We were surrounded by greenery all the way and there was a suspended bridge on the path. The bridge made of thick rope is quite easy to cross as they have secured planks for the ease of hikers. It used to be more challenging as hikers have to daintily step on the rope to cross over. After that, we have the challenging Camel’s Hump, as Marion calls it. That leads to the peak of the hill.

After the circuit, we headed down to Sri Paandi for a tantalizing Chettinad breakfast. We had a great time yakking over food as we get to know each other better. When I suggested bowling for the next activity, everybody was thrilled. Generally, it was agreed we will have it on a Thursday some time soon.

In the meantime, stay tuned to this page!

LegglessBird's Blog

Oh Yes! Finally got this up!

Been thinking about it for ages! Got my act together today, and got this blog up.

So why Leggless Bird? This nickname was given by a close friend of mine. It describes the bird which have to keep flying and never land because it doesn't have legs. Why such a description? For years, I have been moving around Malaysia and overseas. I have shifted no less than 16 times so far. It looked like I was rootless.

However, ever since I landed myself in Klang Valley, I am determined to stop moving and settle down here. It is time stop moving and grow some roots!

Cheers to that!
